All-American Achievers: Marshall Roof, Mike Blaisdell

Congratulations to two shooters from New Hampshire on their achievements of making the 2027 All-American Teams. Marshall Roof earned his spot on the Junior Gold Second Team, and Mike Blaisdell on the Veteran First Team. This is Marshall's first spot on an All-American team, and we've all seen the hard work he's been putting in to get there!

Premium Shell Raffle Winner: Bruce Anding

Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket to our first annual NHTA Premium Shell Raffle. This year's lucky winner was Bruce Anding, who purchased his ticket at the Illinois State Shoot from one of our New Hampshire shooters. Bruce now has 100 cases of Remington STS in his basement ready to go for this target year! Stay tuned in the spring for our next raffle!

In Memoriam: Jack McDonald

We are saddened to pass on the news that long-time New Hampshire trap shooter Jack McDonald has passed away. Our sincerest condolences go out to his wife Sandra, and his entire family. For those that knew Jack, you're sure to smile when you learn that he was laid to rest in a "Carroll County Fish & Game" hat, a McDonald Well & Pump T-Shirt, his Duke jeans, and his favorite pair of suspenders!

Premium Shell Raffle: Win 100 Cases of Target Shotshells

The NHTA is raffling 100 cases of premium 12 gauge target shotshells, a full pallet, with the winner choosing the brand, shot size, and velocity. Tickets are $100, only 300 will be sold, and the winner is drawn at the State Shoot at the end of July.

Badges & Barrels 2026

The annual Badges & Barrels competition between AIM4NH youth shooters and New Hampshire Conservation Officers will be hosted at Horseshoe Fish & Game Club in Merrimack on Saturday, May 30.

Four Shoots Added at Peterborough Sportsmen's Club

Peterborough Sportsmen's Club has added four registered shoots this season: May 31, June 28, August 16, and September 20. Supporting the smaller local New Hampshire shoots keeps them going, and volunteers are always welcome.

Legal Opinion on MA Gun Law

Minute Man Sportsmen's Club retained Attorney Neil Tassel for a legal opinion on how the recent Massachusetts gun laws affect non-residents shooting at Massachusetts clubs. His assessment, reviewed by GOAL staff: non-residents may shoot at Massachusetts clubs and ranges without a non-resident license, but may not bring semi-automatic or high-capacity firearms into the state without one.

At the NHTA Winter Meeting at Nashua Fish & Game Association, members elected the Executive Committee: Gary Littlefield (President), Jason Green (Vice President), Jack Cannon (Treasurer), Phil Wright (Secretary), and directors John Cannillo, Allisen Reese, and Steve Szczechura.

Photo Albums Moved to NHTA Facebook Group

All NHTA photo albums now live in the NHTA Facebook Group, with albums going back to 1984. Members can post their own photos, comment, and share items of interest, while the website continues to carry association news, historical information, and announcements.

New Hampshire All-Americans - Nick Gibbs, Connor Gibson, Mike Blaisdell, Peter Eaton

Four New Hampshire shooters earned 2026 ATA All-American honors: Nick Gibbs (Open Second Team), Connor Gibson (Junior Gold Second Team), Mike Blaisdell (Veteran First Team), and Peter Eaton (Senior Veteran Second Team). All-American team members are recognized on the State Team page.

Delegates Elected for 2026 Target Year

At the summer association meeting held during the state shoot, Phil Wright was elected ATA Delegate for the 2026 target year, with Steve Szczechura as first alternate and Nick Gibbs as second alternate.
