MIKE BLAISDELL MISSES 22 TARGETS AT THE EASTERN ZONE!
That's the bad news! The good news is that Mike broke 978X1000 program targets and 575 overtime targets for a total of 1553 dead birds. That's
about a .9860 combined average for the shoot and let Mike bring home most of the stuff that wasn't nailed down. `Specifically, Mike took RU with
a 99 in E6 (Kay Ohye Dbls), Resident Class AAA RU with a 100 in E7 Singles Championship, Open Champ with a 99 in E8 EZ Pre-Handicap,
Resident Champ with a 199 in the E10 Singles Championship, Open Class AAA winner with a 99 in the E11 Doubles Championship, Open RU with
a 391 in the High All Around and lastly Open RU with a 978 in the High Over All. The E10 singles championship Mike won, in case you haven't
heard included an extra 575 bird shoot off mostly with Brian Whalen and Kay Ohye.
This great shoot off started Saturday night, continued Sunday morning and finished Sunday night.

The B&W (T&F) photo shows Brian Whalen and Mike with Brian looking pretty happy after missing his 568th bird. The digital pix
above was sent to us by Rick Rutter of Delaware who correctly criticized me for not giving Mike "some more attention". We'll make
it up when the All-American 1st Team is announced.
Click on the small picture of Mike on the left above to read the shoot article in the PA web site (PSSA).
September 18, 2005, Cicero, NY
The 20th Northeastern Grand was held 9/13 through 9/18 at the NYSATA Homegrounds in Cicero, NY. Attending the shoot from NH were Dave
Sicley, Jim Giarrusso, Don Anderson, Roy Carroll, Stu Patenaude, Phil Wright, Mike Prince, Warren Anderson, Grant Furman, Sue Wright, Buddy
Driscoll and Pete Tomaini. Lots of good scores were turned in by the above but Jimmy Giarrusso and Phil Wright brought home the metal. Jim fired
a 196X200 to take the Class B trophy in Saturday's NE Grand Singles Championship while Phil, with a 98X100 in Friday's Empire Handicap, captured
4th place in that event. About a 100 squads shot the championship events and the weather, while a little damp at times, was for Cicero about as good
as it gets. The other fellow shown with Jimmy and Phil won a few things also.

August 12, 2005, Vandalia, Ohio
Congratulations to Mary Beth Lewis who took Ladies Runner-Up in Handicap Event 7 of this year's Grand American at Vandalia. MB
shot a 98, same as two years ago when the 98 (and shootoff) got her the GAH Ladies Championship. Husband Fred reports MB is
now residing on the 24 yard marker and moving out. MB is shown below chatting with Olympic shooting competitor Kim Rhode
(golds in 1996 & 2004 and bronze in 2000) on the balcony of the ATA building.
Congratulations are also in order for Mike Blaisdell whose blazing 394 in the Grand American All-Around Championship put him in
20th place in the AAA division. Mike's 394 was 5 birds behind Harlan Campbell's 399.
