Meeting Minutes

July 10, 2005

Minute Man Sportsman’s Club, Billerica MA

 

The meeting was called to order at 11:45 AM by Steve Szczechura and recessed until 12:45 PM.

 

Steve Szczechura reconvened the meeting and welcomed those present.  Steve thanked all of those who have helped with the State Shoot, including the trophy committee and Minute Man Sportsman’s Club.

 

Steve Szczechura announced the 2005 State Team members and team pins were presented.

 

Dan Madden presented Sue Wright with flowers and a card for attaining the 27 yard line.

 

Steve requested members to email suggestions about when and where to hold the annual meeting to him directly or any of the board members. 

 

Steve inquired of the members present as to whether there was interest in the creation of by-laws.  There are currently none in place for the NHTA.  Those interested in the creation of by-laws (21), those not interested (16).  Those interested in serving on a committee to investigate the creation of by-laws are requested to contact Steve Szczechura.

 

Phil Wright, ATA Delegate, updated the state on ATA matters including the relocation of the Grand American.

 

Thank you to Filipe Garcia for making a generous donation of shells and to Tylor Bigras for his tenacity in selling tickets.

 

The election of the ATA delegate and alternates was as follows:

 

*Motion to nominate Phil Wright for delegate was made by Dan Madden, seconded by Leo Lessard.  There being no further nominations, the President directed the Secretary to cast one vote in favor of the candidate.

 

*Motion to nominate Steve Szczechura for 1st Alternate delegate was made by Leo Lessard, seconded by Phil Wright. There being no further nominations, the President directed the Secretary to cast one vote in favor of the candidate.

 

*Motion to nominate Peter Tomaini for 2nd Alternate delegate was made by Jim Giarrusso, seconded by Matt Szczechura.  There being no further nominations, the President directed the Secretary to cast one vote in favor of the candidate.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 1:15pm.
