Updated: January 28, 2006 ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES DATE: December 2, 2000 PLACE: Pelham Fish & Game TIME: 3:40 PM The meeting was called to order by Vice President Doug Whiton and he called for the reading of the minutes of all meetings since the last annual meeting. The minutes for the annual meeting held on November 21, 1999 and the meeting held during the state shoot on July 16, 2000 were read. A motion was made by Steve Szczechura and seconded by Leo Lessard to accept both sets of minutes. Passed U. The President then called for the treasurers report. The treasurer presented a detailed report of revenues and expenses for 2000. A motion was made by Fred Lewis and seconded by Peter Tomaini to accept the report as given. All were in favor except Mike Blaisdell. OLD BUSINESS A discussion of the 2000 state shoot ensued with those present lauding Pelham for their efforts in hosting a most enjoyable tournament. The only criticism came with regard to the availability of trap personnel. The club acknowledged the problem and explained the difficulty in getting enough people to man the fields. The club made it known that every effort is made to put the best quality people in the chairs but in this labor market that can be a real challenge. They promised to make every effort to provide good quality people for every shoot. With Richard Conner moving to California the web site has ceased being updated. Phil Wright expressed his desire to find someone to take over as web master for the site but knew of no one qualified at this time. Phil indicated that he would make every effort to get the site updated while the search for a web master goes forward.
NEW BUSINESS 2001 State Shoot Added money and trophies will remain the same. Sue Wright and Theresa Blaisdell will be in charge of trophy selection. Pelham Fish & Game will host the shoot on July 6th through 8th. A motion was made by Fred Lewis and seconded by Steve Szczechura to change from non-resident to open method in awarding trophies. Motion failed 11 to 4 with 1 abstention. A motion was made by Mike Blaisdell and seconded by Fred Lewis to increase the entry of the shooters purse to $15. Passed U. A motion was made by Fred Lewis and seconded by Leo Lessard to use the same method for pre-registration. Passed U. 2000 was the end of the patches signifying membership on the state team. After discussion it was decided to change form patches to pins to signify state team membership. Mike Blaisdell will arrange for artwork to be developed and find a company to produce the pins. The 2001 state team was announced with those present given hearty congratulations.
