Annual Meeting Minutes Date: December 1, 2006 Place: Lone Pine Hunters Club, Hollis, NH Time: 7:00 pm President Steve Szczchura called the meeting to order and he called for the reading for the minutes of all meetings since the last annual meeting. The minutes of the annual meeting held December 2, 2005 and the state shoot meeting held July 9, 2006 were read. A motion was made by Dan Madden to accept both sets of minutes, seconded by Dave Abdinor, passed U. The treasurer presented a detailed report of revenues and expenses for 2006. A motion was made by Jim Giarrusso and seconded by Leo Lessard to accept the report as given. Passed U. OLD BUSINESS A discussion of the 2006 state shoot ensued. Overall the shoot had excellent attendance as compared to other area state shoots. Phil Wright reported on the decline in registered shooters and targets shot over the last four years. Concern was expressed about this trend continuing. NEW BUSINESS Steve Szczechura introduced Pelham Fish and Game representatives present at the meeting. They were Arthur Crochetiere, President and Mike P., Clay’s Committee representative. The collection process for annual dues was discussed. The current process of collecting the dues during the NH State Shoot will remain in place. There was a general discussion about the potential for a NH Trapshooter’s Hall of Fame. Peter Tomani has already done some preliminary work. A motion was made by Steve Szczchura, seconded by Jim Giarruso for Peter Tomani to head a committee to look into HOF development and identifying potential candidates. Dave Abdinoor, Terry Radke and Dan Madden volunteered to assist Pete. A motion was made by Jeff Lafleur and seconded by Sue Wright to hold the 2007 NH State Shoot on July 6, 7, and 8. The motion passed U. Discussion of the location for the 2007 NH State Shoot ensued. Steve Szchura indicated that he had personally contacted representatives of Montpelier Gun Club (MGC), Scarborough Fish and Game (SF&G) and Minute Man Sportsman’s Club (MMSC). Due to an impending change of officers at MGC, their President could not commit the club as a potential site. SF&G is currently allowed use of their east four fields only for the ME State Shoot which precludes them from being a potential host. MMSC provided the NHTA with a letter offering to host the again in 2007. Arthur and Mike from PF&G provided input as to where PF&G is now with their clay target program. They are looking re-establish their registered shooting program but all four members of the clay target committee are new to registered shooting. In order to hold the 2007 state shoot at PF&G the NHTA would need to lease the fields from PF&G and run the shoot themselves. Another possible option would be for PF&G to hire someone to run the shoot. NHTA members voiced several suggestions: Dave Burns suggested PF&G start by holding single day registered ATA shoots in the year 2007 to obtain registered shoot experience. Dave Abdinor also stated it is in the best interest of the NHTA to be able to provide the best venue for the shooters. Fred Lewis echoed Dave Burns’ idea of PF&G hosting several one day registered shoots for 2007. Dan Madden suggested PF&G members to come to the state shoot and spend all weekend helping run the shoot to see what is entailed. Motion was made by Dave Abdinor, seconded by Jim Giarruso to select Minute Man Sportsman’s Club as host for the 2007 NH State Shoot,. Passed U. Dan Madden made a motion to have the NHTA match the first $100 in target cost for junior registered shooters at PF&G if PF&G is funding a program for the 2007 target year, seconded by Sally Alexander. Passed U. Discussion of Ed Dugals passing in 2005, Peter Tomani read a letter from Tim Dugal, Ed’s son. There was a discussion of potential charity work. The Ronald McDonald House is the official charity of the ATA. Motion was made by Sue Wright, seconded by Dan Madden to run a charitable fundraiser during the 2007 NH State Shoot benefiting The Ronald McDonald House. Passed U. Motion was made by Fred Lewis, seconded by Jeff Lafleur that 10% of the total gross proceeds of the shooter auction go to the NHTA charity fund to be determined prior to the program printing. Vote was 12 in favor, 13 opposed, 2 abstained. Motion was defeated. 2007 State Team was announced. Pins for top ten will be awarded at the state shoot meeting. Thanks was given to Peter Tomani for work with the web site. Jim Giarusso and Pete Tomaini were commended for the pictures posted from the area shoots. Sue Wright and Teresa Blaidell were recognized for their work on the state shoot trophies. DELEGATES REPORT Phil Wright reported this years Grand American at the new location, World Shooting Complex (WSC) in Sparta IL was a great success. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Motion was made by Jim Giarruso and seconded by Sue Wright to keep the existing officers in place for 2007. Passed U. A motion was made by Jim Giarruso and seconded by Dave Burns to adjourn the meeting. Passed U. ADJOURNED 9:53PM.
